La Galerie Atiss Dakar is delighted to present a special summer exhibition for 2023, featuring a curated selection of artists from our collection.

Among the featured artists are renowned Senegalese talents Amadou Camara Gueye and Serigne Mbaye Camara, celebrated for their significant contributions to the local art scene. Their works showcase mastery across various techniques and a profound engagement with themes such as cultural identity and heritage.

We are also proud to include works by South African artist Themba Khumalo, whose art captivates audiences through a unique visual language. His creations represent a powerful fusion of traditional and contemporary elements, resulting in striking and thought-provoking pieces.

Congolese artist Ngimbi Bakambana Luve stands out for his expressive use of color and his integration of ethics and aesthetics, drawing inspiration from SAPE culture. Malian artist Moussa Traoré will also be featured, offering insight into his creative exploration of social issues and cultural narratives. His works reflect a deep understanding of the human condition, conveyed through compelling visual storytelling.

We are honored to present the work of Ousmane Bâ, a Senegalese artist currently based in Japan. His practice is a harmonious and distinctive blend of African and Eastern influences, shaped by his intercultural experiences.

Finally, the exhibition will showcase the work of esteemed Rwandan artist Cédric Mizero, whose introspective and emotive pieces resonate deeply with viewers. Mizero’s art offers a poignant exploration of personal and collective memory, inviting reflection and dialogue.

We warmly invite you to discover this dynamic group exhibition from June 22 to September 22, 2023, at Galerie Atiss Dakar, located in the Médina district of Dakar.
